Cool gas cap cover for F150 ???

Come to think of it, I haven't seen any mention of the cool looking, racing style gas cap covers.... You know, the brushed steel, or chrome, or black style with like the rivets around the outside piece ???

I could have sworn the the red / blacked out F150 in my home town had one of these.... But I didn't pay enough attention to it at the time, nor ask the owner where he got it....

I think the gas cap cover on my stock F150 will be very small, and plain jane, won't it ? Anyone ?

Thank you,
Fish

All Sales is your best bet for a billet fuel door cover. They are a step up from the Factory plastic Gas cap, but I think they still look better if they are painted.https://www.f150online.com/galleries...allery7470.jpg

Hey guys....

BlackF150, nope. Just wanted to talk about them ! Doh ! :-)
Well yea'.... I guess the closest thing I said to this was.... > nor ask the owner where he got it.... <

Thank you Toolcrib. I will check on them at All Sales. If I get one, mine would certainly be painted.... but maybe satin black, rather than PTM.

Peace,
Fish

PS, I'm surprised these are not a bigger deal to people..... I mean with the way people get all googly over other stuff which seems completely unimportant to me.... like exhaust tips ? Hmmmm. All comes down to personal tastes I guess.

maybe its because the stock gas covers don't look that bad, but the stock tail pipes and mufflers gotta be changed. that was my first mod.

Gas cap covers are ghetto!

I was in El Paso the other day...I saw a Mustang with chrome trim, EVERYWHERE you could imagine and more. I died a little that day.

On my 2007 silver SCREW after detailing paint with Megs NXT and #16 the fuel door was lighter than the rest of the paint. The rest of the paint had great depth but the fuel door looked flat and lighter. I replaced it with the Ford Motorsport replacement cover and it looks good (In my opinion) I was worried about the ghetto look but the color and depth difference bugged me every time I got in my truck in the light. Mine is not a cover but an actual replacement. I don't normally like them but I think brushed looks good against the silver.

Well ya' see now.....

I'm wondering how you would think of them as being ghetto, when the type I'm asking about is the same thing you might see on a Lamborghini, a Nascar, a Ferrari, a Viper, etc.

Then back to the tail pipes..... I know the rest of the world is facinated by them..... But to me they are just a darn pipe. The muffler is important because of the sound, and a little bit, for performance. But to me, tail pipes are probably the least interesting thing on a vehicle. I'd sooner notice the valve stem caps ;-) LOL

My truck's going to be blacked out anyway..... so I'll probably just hit my tail pipe with some sandpaper, and high temp black spray paint.

Hmmmmm....

PS, Hey bangind, where did you get yours from ? I'm not interested in the cover type either, but rather, the straight up replacement type.

IMPO, the little bitty, wimpy looking gas cover that comes stock on the F150's would be more suitable for a Geo Metro ;-) So, I guess the choices are "Ghetto" or "Metro" ? :-) LOL

Here is the Ford Racing part #M-2301-F150. I actually bought it from another person here on the board that bought it and did not care for the look on a darker truck. I got a deal I could not resist.
