Lower Roush Grill

I searched the dilemma of getting a roush grill and not having a lower roush insert for the front valance, I know some guys have taken matters into their own hands and made them by themselves, I was just wondering if anyone had some step by step instructions with pictures to help me (the fabrication illiterate) with fabrication OR if anyone is in the business of making them and selling them on eBay or the classifieds. I’ve checked out the recent roush grill thread epidemic with cheap grills on eBay and ajcomp….just looking for a follow up on the lower grill insert, thanks!!!!

Not that im aware of. I know there were a few knock off's on ebay a while back claiming to be roush grilles, but the bar count was different.

Mine has 21 in the upper roush grille, purchsed from Stage3Motorsports, 263.00 including front and rear overlays

This is the roush grill that I have been seeing on most threads (it has 13 bars)and it's the one I'm interested in making a lower grill for. I believe it's plastic and chrome coated. Roush8702, I would say you have 1 of these 3 things:
1. an older model stlye. 2. the more expensive chrome dipped grill by roush. 3. an imitation
-regardless, your truck still looks sharp and I would be interested in getting one like that without the hassle of "cutting and pasting"

I didnt see the front of your truck from the previous post.

It looks like the grille you have is Roush P/N 401543 04-07 Chrome Over Plastic. which is based off the FX2, its used on the Roush "Nightmare" edition only sprayed black.

BTW the FX2 was the basis for my striping scheme.

I double checked the P/N on mine and its 401596 Billet Aulminum Grille.
Probably why it was easier to match up bar spacing.

heres a link to the parts catalog for roush 150's

while checking I did run across this. Link actually from the f150store, its a CW lower with the spacing that looks equal to the 13 bar upper.

just for reference, ,my lower is 7 bars

hope that helps

does your grille just pop in like the chrome over plastic, or is it a bolt over.

Roush makes a billet grille, and the chrome over plastic grille, which most of us have.

The best bet would be the FX2 PTM grille. Some people have been painting the Roush COP grilles since they are so cheap now, but paint doesn't stick to the chrome very well.
