Rear badge blackout

Ordering decals from Patriot. They will make decals similar to Blackout-FX4's
Does anybody recall if the emblem on the rear of tailgate is identical in size and lettering to the emblems on the front fenders? Dont have the truck today and want to order. Also, will be ordering a "murdered" a front and rear oval badge decal. Patriot has made them so the letters will fit exactly over the OEM oval. This avoids any FORD letters from sticking out on the late models which have raised letters.

The tailgate emblem is not the same size as the fender badges. I have no idea if the lettering is of the same size or not, but I'd guess no.

How do you avoid the raised FORD letters, I don't get it, if they're there, they will still be seen sticking up from under the overlay right?

No. Since the Patriot decal has letter placement identical to OEM the Patriot decal will fit right over OEM lettering, at least thats my understanding. However, Im am calling Patriot in a sec and will find out.

Oh, I see, you're getting an overlay that still says "FORD" on it right? In that case I'd still say the raised FORD letters will show through the overlay, but since the overlay will also say "FORD" they'll match up.

It's a vinyl sticker that you put over the OEM emblem. Hence the name, "overlay". Patriot designed my diver down overlays for me.
