Looking into some Black Headlights. Had some time, looked at some on E-Bay again and decided to ask the one seller a couple questions. This is what he told me about the refund, and moisture issues I hear about:
"Thank you for your inquiry, the manufacturer's warranty is limited to defected items
only, and it's 30days, about the condensation problem, all headlights are made of
plastics now , that allows mositure to diffuse through them. When the plastics
become warm , by the light bulbs and engine, they give off mositure ( not just
outward but also inward). The lens of the ellipsoid principle headlights is heated
in the middle by the bulbs, whereas the outer part of the lens is virtually at the
ambient temperature due to the cooling effect of the airflow. This can lead to
condensation forming, but it's normal. For this very reason, headlights are not
completely airtight. Condensation/fogging problems happens to factory OE headlights
too, basically if you install the lights under room temperture, make sure all bulbs'
rubber sealer are not worn out and all ventilation path "L-shaped" rubber path is
always pointing to 6 o'clock position, so that the waters won't get into the lights,
the headlights should have no problem at all. Hope this explains. Thanks"
Wondering what yall though about it. Have some spare time, so i am just looking around for another mod. Thanks.

^^ thats what I thought. Never heard of anything like that in my LIFE. I was just testing the "Ebay Waters" again. Really want black heads tho. Probably should nut up and paint em myself...
Sounds like crap to me. The stockers are made out of plastic as well, but I have never seen mine fogging up. Before you install them, just make sure they are completely sealed and the bulb gaskets are in good condition.

If I was going to California sometime soon.....
I made a real good write-up not that long ago. Sometime before Christmas
Make sure you read my writeup before starting. Some have had much easy success at painting and others of us should have just stabbed ourselves in the hand with a screwdriver instead.
I'd say it sounds like BS.

Interested in having them shipped over attworth ? I would bet you could make a couple bucks on this site alone doing this for people. I would pay. Some people are paying around $150 or so buying ones on E-bay, and a lot of em are having problems. Just a thought.
Thats why i am looking into ones where I don't do the painting !
Didn't you buy some off E-bay ? How are they working out for you ?
I think that was the article that got me wanting them more

i got mine off ebay and i have had no problem with water. when i first bought them i put an extra layer of silicone in all the cracks. the things have seen pressure washing, down poor rain, touchless car washes, and everything in between and i dont have a drop of moisture on them
beware, beware, beware, of ebay items. my boyfriend bought tail lights from an ebay store, and they are cheap. they fit too close to the tail gate and when we were trying to correct the clearance issues, the 3rd or 4th time we put them back on, they stripped out where the bolt goes in. i want black head lights too, so let me know if you have any luck. thanks again for the help. me an my boyfriend installed my lift it this past weekend. josh is a great guy.
