Actually I just went into my closet and pulled out my receipt. I bought it at a local Ford dealer back in fall of '06 before they were online. And I had a hell of a time getting it too!

 

I realize this is an old post but if anyone has ordered this part number can you tell me if it is the dark billet style grill or does it come unpainted?

I'm pretty sure they come unpainted. I checked with several dealers before I decided on the Roush and they all said that the surround and grille itself would have to be painted once I received it. After it's all said and done..... it was just too much more money. The best thing to do is find someone with an FX2 that doesn't want the grille (hard to find someone that doesn't want it) or just buy a Roush grille and paint it. I went with a Roush grille and ended up keeping it chrome...... looks great!

 

It comes unpainted in like a beige color. And btw if you read the part numbers on the first page anything ever ending in PTM means paint to match and it comes unpainted.
