Need more light

I know this has probably been asked alot but, i need more light. i am looking for a cost effective way to see better in the dark. Is there another option like a brighter bulb instead of HID ? Also I have read a little about changing bulbs in the fogs as well. What have we found that works well in there too? i am driving a 07 FX4 Screw.

The best way to get more light without using HID is to get silvania silverstar bulbs. you can find them online and at some auto part stores. as far as the fog lights go they use a 45w 9145 bulb. you can easily swap in a 9005 65w high beam bulb. silverstars would be great in your fogs as well. its an improvement but nothing close to HID.

I'd agree, but with a caution. You have the smaller, round fog lights in your 2007 and the 9005 bulbs that some of us are using in our larger, rectangular fogs may melt your lenses. There's no doubt that the 9005's will put out more light, but in your case, there may be a cost.

As for the Silverstar's in the headlights, as you'll see in my signature, I have them too. Personally, I don't think they made all that big of a difference though.

very true thanks for mentioning that. if youre concerned with the melting issue they do make silver stars in a 9145 bulb

Do NOT put a 9005 lamp in those round fog lights. I did and it did melt the lens (07 FX4) the 65w bulb is just too hot for them

i've used silverstars in the pasy... no biggy and imo not worth the extra money over stock

question is why not hid? like i've said in the past its the best mod for the money and the one that proves itself the most...

a cheap kit can be found on ebay for 150$ or less
