Lift Off Hood

Well I was on cervinis website and I noticed there cowl hood. I'm 17 years old and money is kinda tight so when i saw $540 for it I kinda stopped looking, but then I noticed at the bottom it says: Also Available as Lift-off for $245. LIFT-OFF HOODS ARE MADE TO ORDER, AND NON-REFUNDABLE!
What does this mean? Any help appreciated. thanks

lift off, like the race cars use, you'll have to add 4 pins to hold it down
