97-03 mirrors w/signals

Does anybody think it would be possible/look good on an xlt, or would wiring be too difficult.

yes, i have done it... i can send you pics if you like. The easiest way of doing it, and cheapest is to get just the signal mirror glass and retain your stock power mirror assembly. granted, you will not have heated mirrors that way, but it would remain simple. the wiring is not difficult at all, it requires not splicing, but running the wire from the signal mirror glass, and placing it in the correct peg hole in the power mirror harness. other than that, it is a direct plug and play. let me know if you have any other questions. fwiw, the two signal mirror glass pieces/wiring will run you close to $300 brand new from Ford.

Wiring? Difficult? You have an XLT with power package options...the wiring is in the door to connect to already.

I have to make the wiring harness for my 03 XL, but the mirrors were $75 each at Certifit. Google'em.
