Read anout the stall converter in the link I posted. It says "up to 50 rear wheel horsepower" The E-fans are suppose to add 20? or was it like... 10 or 15? I just said 50+10=60, and then 60+ about 60 = 120...?

If I would have known that this was a thread on mods and HP, I would have got out a piece of paper, calculated everything, found out what my stock rear-wheel hp was, maybe gotten a Dyno before I posted!!! lol. I dont need your "LIFE Lessons". Im already going to be very successful. I am very level-headed believe it or not. I get along with everyone. My life is basically planned out for me. After I graduate with a major in Economics, I will start an enternship, flying all over the world w/ my dads business partner. After that, I am going to be partners with my brother and father, He will give me about 5MILL. To start my own investing and to pitch in on deals with them. I will snow-ball that money by using investing and partnering up on Developemnt deals. Exactly what my dad does.
The only difference between me in person and on this forum, is that I usually just walk away from opinionated jerks such as well..... you. Here, I didnt necessarily try to defend myself, but tell you guys to lay-off. JUst didnt happen. I guess you felt a need to put others down.

If you can't take some criticism when you say something stupid you'd better stop talking as much and start reading and researching more. That said, I have nothing against you personally, it just bothers me when people won't take the time to understand what's being said to them.
I WOULD have listened, and corrected my thoughts if people would have replied with the correct information, in a "mature, Im sorry, but you are wrong" kind of way. INstead it was... more of a ... "Your f ucking stupid" response. SO I felt like I had to defend myself. As I am STILL doing.
I was wrong, I know that now. THe only way to truely know is with a Dyno. You are at 250hp minus the gears and headers. So, we are probably about the same? because of my 35's and you have the custom tunes. That still falls within my guestimate of 250-280. (Minus the 100 from the 300 as I thought 300 was to the rear wheels)
On a DYNO, dont tires not make a huge difference, since they are sitting on rollers? NOtice the question mark?
SO, I know that I was wrong. I knew I wasnt RIGHT from the beggining... they were just very rough guestimates, and didint know people were going to quote my on a simple statement.

lol this thread went down hill. Sorry for my part, I'm just trying to get accross that rear end gears do not add or free up power. They just allow you to utilize the power you already have at the right time. Sorta like a good set of racing slicks or torque converter. Not like exhaust and intakes which truely add and/or fee up power. I think you know this, but your wording still sounds like you're saying gears will free up power. I'm not attacking you, just trying to help. =)

Yup, thats exactly what gears do. My theory is that since it takes more cranks of the engine per one turn of the tire, it makes the engine work easier for one turn, do you think this would add any power at all?
As for the stall converter, I am pretty sure, but not positive... I spent about 3 hours reading about them one night. lol. But... THe stall converter isnt for the sole purpose of the stall-speed which puts power to the rear wheels at a higher rpm, giving that sudden power. An aftermarket converter is more effcient, allowing less slipping and thus more power to the rear wheels, right?

If you plan on getting one, Ive heard these are the best for the newer f-150's and plan on geting one myself. The only downside is... they are a pricey $900 I believe....
BUT, if it actually does give the 50hp they claim, it would definitely be worth it in my opinion...

Put in the DYNO! that'll end all of the expected #s speech. When I knew less than I do now, I thought the same thing. The whole spill dealers claim about it ads X amount of power is primarily a sales tool. So the consumer will think...That cold air says 15-20, the programmer says 20-25, thats close to 50hps...In reality...NOPE. Primary example is a NOS kit. Run it on the dyno, get a baseline, put a 100 HP shop on it, and the numbers will tell the tale. Unless you have a diesel I dont see those list of mods giving you anywhere near 100hps.

So, ~300HP at the flywheel minus ~30% drivetrain loss, (300-(~30*300)=
(300-~90)=~210 RWHP. So your total drivetrain loss is ~90HP. So if they're claiming a 50 RWHP gain, they're claiming to reduce your total powertrain losses by ~55%. So your overall DTL would only be ~13%.
If you think a single piece of equipment can accomplish that, go ahead and spend the money. Besides, pretty soon you'll have "5MILL" of daddy's dollars in the bank, so what's a measly 900 now?
