Looks like it's not overlays of the usual type, but he is overlaying carbon over stock parts. That's why he has the core charge. Still, very nicely done and looks much better than the parts held on with 3M tape.

That's exactly what he's doing! They also look much better in person versus the pics!

hivoltage, what did you do to get the door trim off? my trim pieces on the door are hot air welded or whatever its called.

If you're talking about the pieces that I had done in carbon, they simply pop off. I got a flat head screw driver and pryed them off. I don't see why yours would be any different?

I was going to ask the same thing.
the lower plastic panels, right under the door grasp, they are held on in back by melted plastic rivits on mine. I was going to pull them off to paint them, but noticed they were melted in and didnt want to superglue them back on later. You used the flat head for these?

Also if you can, ask if he can do brushed aluminum, i would love my window switch peices in brushed or polished aluminum!

Sorry! I was thinking of something else! As for the pieces that you are talking about? Not sure how those come off? I would assume that you'd have to remove the entire door panel off first. That's assuming those pieces come off separately?
