Nightshades?

SO from reading other posts the process that as i understand it is:

1) sand the taillights down with 1000 sand paper
2) apply night shades coat(s)
3) wet sand with 2000
4) apply 2-3 clear coats (of what i'm not sure)
5) wetsand again with 2000
6) one last heavy clear coat

Is this right????

Thanks for the advice. I remember now clear with some black mixed in. The thing is i have black covers over my stock tail lights right now and i was gonna buy some LED tails like the ones below and then tint them. How many coats to get a nice dark coat?

Just screwed up my tails and 3rd b/l trying to use Niteshades. All was good until the clearcoat. Bought the NHT clearcoat and for some reason it went on with a milky, silverish tint. So I had to sand the clear down and shoot them with Niteshades again which made them too dark. Used some Krylon Crystal Clear clearcoat and for some reason it does not have a shine. It is very dull. Even after I polished them. I give up. Just ordered some Harley tails and hopefully I can salvage the 3rd b/l.
