Hella HID Grille and Garmin GPS Project Results

Greetings from Krum, TX - my first post!

Back in late July I traded in my sup'd up 06 Dodge Ram Cummins for the 07 FX4. We're selling the boat and never really towed as far and often as I thought I would, so I decided to get something more comfortable to drive and a little more to my liking. I had an 01 F150 for about 5 years, so I knew what to expect in the power...or lack of power...department; but other than that I have no regrets moving on from the Dodge.

Since picking up the FX4, I added a couple accessories and thought I'd pass along the reviews...

Being a previous hard-core motorcyclist and member of the Iron Butt Association, I have come to depend on GPS systems to guide along the back roads of America. Now I don't leave home without it, and since I no longer need to move it back and forth from the vehicle to the motorcycle, I decided to get one with a bigger screen so I chose the Garmin 7200. It's mounted on a Ram mount system that attaches to the GPS on one end and a suction cup mount on the other end. I didn't want it mounted to the windshield since I often put up a sun visor during the hot TX summers. The F150 offers a perfect base on the dash for a suction cup (just cut a circle out of the rubber mat) and rest the bottom of the GPS on the dash with a small strip of material (like Velcro) under the GPS to cushion the bumps. Pick up some cable ties from Radio Shack to secure the power cord and this is what you've got...
