Window Flares

Help guys!

I bought my truck about 18 months ago. Has a set of four window flares on it. One almost fell completly off so I just pulled it the rest of the way off and the others are still getting loose. (I hate Wisconsin Winters on my truck) What kind of tape should I get to put them back on? What should I use to get the old tape and residue off?

Thanks Guys for the help.

Built54!, You got the version of the truck I hope mine will some day be.

To get the old tape/residue use some automotive advesive remover and some elbow grease, a little heat from a hair dryer might help too. To put them back on, us 3M double sided tape, the one with the red peel off film.

what style are they? in-channel or stick on? if they are stick on make sure you take alcohol and rub it where the tape will stick, to clean any wax off for better adhesion. if they are the inchannel ones, after you install them make sure to leave the windows up for 24hrs or so to let if adhere. also do it on a nice sunny day, it can make the difference of working or not working again. becareful when taking them off if they are the stick on kind, they like to take the paint off
