HID upgrade question.

I am a new user to forums....not quite sure how it works.

Well I just recently upgraded from stock hallogens to hid 6000k headlights. I installed them and come to find out I have no high beams. I would like to know if bi xenon bulbs will work with a normal hid ballast? I would appreciate any help, thanks.

im almost 100% sure that you have to get an entirely new kit, its not as simple as just swapping the bulbs out b/c their is going to be extra wiring involved as well

You screwed yourself,

Bixenon kits have either second ballasts or a controller for high beam function.
They also require special bulbs, Bunthy jerry-rigged a bixenon setup at one point, but it's easier and cheaper to buy the right kit the first time. I started a thread called "HID info" search for that and you'll learn everything you ever wanted to know.

well I didn't actually jerry-rigged it. The HID bulb is already modified to be bi-xenon. It springs up and down for high and low beam. The only thing you need to do is wire the + and - to your High beam wire and a ground source. The spring mechanism have a seperate relay for the High beam function. I still have them if you want. email me resurrection_28@hotmail.com
