[QUOTE=crash_lucky13]according to ricerinternational magazine, it's only an estimated 15 horsepower gain at the flywheel.

"ricer-ish"?

For you: Yes, you have an automatic with a OEM tach. It is not needed

For someone with a manual tranny and no tach, then no. Nothing is wrong with wanting to know how fast the motor is spinning.

Your truck is pretty much walkin that fine line of a ricer, but if you feel the need for a second tach go for it, but I don't think that shift light will help you out a whole lot.

lol guys i KNOW i don't need it, geez. and yes, the truck is border line ricer, so the gauge would have went with the concept futuristic look of the truck....

but it also would have been GAY and POINTLESS as hell. maybe i could hook the light up to my flux capacitor so when i reach 88 mph it will turn on?

Tachs in an Auto are ghey and most definately pointless... unless you're going for the V-tec look. I'm sure that any look you'd see on others' faces when they see your 5" tach is "OMG, WTF, LMFAO!"... not intimidation.
