Have you looked at the thread that discusses painting the ones you have? I did it and it was kinda a pain in the ***, but not nearly as bad as I expected. As far as the orange reflectors go, you could paint over them or take them out.

Look at it like this, if you try it and screw it up your only out a little bit of your time and about $5 on a can of paint - if it works you probably save yourself a couple of hundred.

Here's how mine turned out:

Its easy. Just stick them in the oven for 15 min or so to heat up the glue and pull apart. I don't know if there is a how to section on it but my old mazda forums has one. http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showt...ing+headlights

What does it look like underneath the orange reflector? I want to keep the chrome inner shell, but would like to remove that orange piece...

Heres my Black Depo Projectors. I love them...no problems so far...they come with a 1 year warranty also. They do have the orange reflector but thats OK cuz Im legal. Also notice the Stealth chrome bulbs that light up amber...

Does it have to be an amber lens for it to be legal? I'll admit I haven't studied up on that side of it...

I belive in most states you do have to have an amber reflector...I could be wrong though. But I think a lot of the lights w/out the amber reflector are not DOT stamped.

HEY MGP32!

I was one of the haters that replied to those apc corners you had.

I'm glad to see you got something that looks good! Nice choice! Your truck looks really nice.

By the way, how are the fit and quality of those Depo's???

Where'd you get 'em?
