lets hear your ideas...

Heres my truck that Ive had for about a month now and Ive been bouncing some ideas around on what to do with it. I really dont have the money for rims which would obviously be my first option if I had the $$. But as far as other things I just wanna hear some ideas you might have about what I could do to it exterior wise.

Nice truck!! First I would put a coat of 303 on all the black plastic. It has a UV protectant so the black stuff won't fade. I have an 05 STX and hated the decals on the bedsides so I took them off, gave the truck a cleaner look, more monochromatic. I'm also looking into a undercover for the bed. It seems all the nice stuff is going to cost ya BIG!!! Good luck and have fun.

You could paint your headlights black, I think that would look tight. Or leave your headlights alone and go with a billet grille. Maybe a bed cover?? or a roush scoop idk depends on what you want. Tight truck though

/\ X2 /\

I'd look at a custom tune, FIPK / CAI, exhaust, underdrive pulleys and some tint

^^^ well, at least 2/5 ideas were "exterior mods"...

decide on what kinda look/color combo you're going for. you already have a lot of black on red, so sticking with that would be a good idea. I personally would change out headlights to black (as mentioned). Def. get a black bullbar, black nerfs, and maybe some tint.

once you start, you won't wanna stop. nice looking truck btw. keep us posted with yer progress

Save your money until you can get what you truly want. I wanted to lift my truck and go with 35's, but at one point I almost compromised and went with a leveling kit and 33's because I wanted to do some mods NOW! I talked myself out if it, continued to save and finally saved enough and was able to get the lift and wheels/tires I wanted originally. If new wheels are what you want then save your moeny and get'em.

As of right now I was thinkin FX2 grill and headlights. As for wheels, Ive seen a few that I like for example in Truckin this month Tire Rack has an add with my exact truck with 22" Granite Alloy 4.6's, Id go with the 20's and a little more meat but at $299 a piece plus tires thats still hard to swallow. Im gonna keep this truck for a while obviously so I have time to save and do what I want, its just everything I think of usually requires somethin else to look right, then it just snowballs and Im back to square one. Dream setup would be Rousch body kit, those granite alloys, previously mentioned fx2 stuff, and some Katzskin leather. Or just a F350 dually, black with tan bottum lol.

What size rims are those on your "coming soon" pic? I like the American Racing "razor 6" wheels and found a decent deal on them (250 w/free shipping) and was thinking about getting 20's but I want something that doesnt look to big or to small I want it to flow with the truck. Most 18's just arent big enough to fill the gaps nicely.

sounds like you already know what you want to do. Now the real question is are you ready?? once you start adding and reading this site your doomed. it wont stop until you sell the truck. lol your choice
