Where to put off road lights?

I have a 2000 4x4 and want/need extra lighting when coming out of the woods. Where can I mount off road lights without a bull bar or grill guard? Pictures?

Well there are basically two options left for you. One would be to buy a truck bar (looks like a roll cage) for the bed of your truck and put lights on the top of that. Or two, like MrSquirrel suggested, mount some lights behind your grill. Many people have mounted lights behind the grill just by fabbing up some brackets and mounting them to a crossmember in the engine compartment right in front of the radiator. Any questions let me know.

Here is a picture of the mounts I made and how the lights look

Lights On

Lights Off (kinda bad angle)

Brackets

Theres something called Baja Champions by Bully that enable you to screw in a light plate where your cab brake light is. You can put as many as 4 lights on there, but I'm not sure if they cover a make 7 years old or not. Might want to call them.

Here's another option for you. Although my current truck is an '05, I fabricated a similar setup for my '99 and '02 before it. Putting the lights behind the grill keeps them out of harm's way. More pictures with details are in my gallery.
