the least expensive way and better way IMO is to go with VHT Nite Shades. you can find them anywhere that sells VHT brand spray paint. it's a traslucent spray paint made for tinting glass and chrome.

I bought the tailight film kit on ebay for my 2005 f150 and it didnt work.. it was a pain in my a$$ to make them curve with the lights.. like the film isnt meant to curve.. waste of money.. rather get them professionally painted or buy some already painted

Im not sure about the actual window tint on the lights, especially on a F150 curved tails. That would be difficult.

The painted looks great to apply but on the can itself:

OFFROAD USE ONLY, meaning not legal on road. I am willing to bet that the painting on the tintmytaillamps is illegal as well.

I remember seeing along time ago regarding painting taillamps with mica in the paint. During painting, a magnetic field of some type is powered and the mica lines up so that it can be viewed from the rear w/o any blocking but to the side and up to 10 degrees off-center, the light is blocked. Kinda like a light through a hallway.

Being LE, I would be all over that red stang. Technically you can not modify any factory light that may impair the intensity or color of headlamps, tail lamps, turn signals and parking lights/markers. Nothing is wrong with the Harley headlamps since you are not modifying the bulbs/reflector or any material in front of it to cause intenisty or color change. The taillamps is a traffic stop waiting to happen.

But I love the way they look. I'd be too scared that I would be rear-ended and get cited for the cause due to modifying my vehicle's lights if they were too dark.

ya my friends has his painted in the jag and the rsx has the film.. u can deff tell the diffrence we got pulled over for "illegal tailight tint" on the rsx buit we are going to get that sighed off besides that.. other times we have gotten pulled over but not for tailights they really dont care... well some dont.. ive seen a f150 lifted all blacked out from the dealership with PAINTED black tailight lol i would say to get them painted professionally instead becuase some look like chit and arent smooth
