More tint questions

I just bought an 07 F-150 standard cab a couple of weeks ago, had the bed sprayed, installed a Berlin Hinged Tonneau, bought a class IV hitch and now I am thinking about tint. What are the most popular shades, Smoke, Charcoal, True Grey, Blue, Bronze or Mirror Tint? I don't remember seeing much Mirror, Bronze or Blue. How do the other three look?
I checked out the snaptint website and they state the cost of the film for my 4 side windows and rear window is $55. The installation kit is another $14.95 After watching their video I believe that I could handle the installation.

I contacted a local company and they gave me a price of $200. I told them no thanks. The guy there just didn't seem "up front" about everything.
Are there any other companies that I can purchase film from? Any that you would recommend?

Thanks in advance.
Btw, great forum!

its not too difficult, back in '03 I bought a roll of film & a tintkit from autozone, did my Explorers windows, messed up quite a few times because I didn't read the insructions correctly, I searched up 'how to tint' tips and did my Explorer the 3rd time and did a good job, I did a buddies car, another buddy wanted it done, another friend & another & then my friends were refering me around to their friends and in the past 4yrs i've done about 100 - 150 cars including my own, i'd say every month or two I get a new project, but is not very hard to do at all, when you have a tinting kit, & some online tips and the patients to do it you can do it no problem

I remember the first one I did. By the time I bought the film, prepped the vehicle, and then installed, I would have been better off having it installed vs my time. Plus most of them offer a lifetime warranty!!!!!

It's nice my ex-cab was factory tinted. It was $80 to do the two front doors. I took it to a well know shop, and felt it was worth it. They did my last truck and it held up great.

I'm 90% sure that I will go with the Smoke 35. A co-worker suggested that I go with the limo 5 in the rear window and 35 in the sides. Has anyone else used different film in the sides and rear windows?

Darker is nice in the far back glass, but 5% gets hard to see out of at night when backing up. Maybe 35% all around and 20% out back??

A friend with limo 5% told me that he has to roll down a window to park at night.
DTheobald, maybe you're eyes are younger than my 57 yr old eyes.

I got mine from snaptint.com. Good company, quick shipping. They also gave me a coupon code to save %10. just put friends10 in the discount coupon block thing. I also got the toolkit free when I didn't select it. Good company.

Also, I'm gonna tear out the film I put on the front windows and am gonna replace it with some 5%. If I were to get 20% for the rear over the factory tint, would it be super close to 5% up front? Some quick math makes me think 20% over 20% is about equal to 4%. Am I right???
