Grills: Polished aluminum vs. chrome

Other than price, is there any significant difference why one is better
than the other? I have a 99 f150 deep wedgwood blue and I think both would
look good. I saw one on ebay store that was new and was under 100.00 and
was polished aluminum. What do you guys think?
Im going to make a decision within the next 2 days so a response is greatly needed.
Thanks

Chrome will be TONS easier to maintain.

But be careful on the claim of being a chrome grill- very few grills actually have chrome (many refer to polished aluminum as chrome).

I would go chrome....It's hard enough keepin the wheels polished. Especially with dogs

another thing you would have to check out is if the grille is really a metal plated in chrome, or a cheap plastic grill with chrome plating.

Chrome as in metal plated chrome is very durable and easy to maintain. it may eventually rust though.

plastic with chrome plating is the low cost alternative to either chrome or billet.

and Billet alluminum is well... big long bars of solid aluminum. no plating no nothing. You have to keep these polished in order to have the 'chromey" look

I did polished aluminum on my truck, and its not that hard to maintain. in the year i have had it installed i have polished it twice i believe. If you have a buffer and some mothers metal polish, this task is easily done in less then half an hour.

fabian, would you say that buying the polished aluminum would not be a bad deal especially if it is much cheaper and is a bolt on? I dont mind polishing it myself every now and then as I dont mind washing my truck either. I have
stainless steal exhaust pipes SIDO and will end up getting stainless steal step bars. What do you think with I can do with all that I am about to get?

I went with the precision grilles stainless billet, and I love it, but it doesn't stay as shiny as chrome, but then again it will never rust. It only cost me $130.
