Has anyone ever painted there door and tailgate handles to make their body color? If so, how did it turn out? I really dont like the black handles or the mirrors, but they are getting replaced soon

I bought the Lincoln LT handles for mine.

 

im in your same boat. i want red bezels to match my truck and chrome handles. sounds like the LT handles are the way to go. I heard that the LT is available in red this year so i may be in business! where can i get a set of those LT handles though???

i looked at ur gallery, and the LT handles make a hell of a difference. I think that i may go that route and the chrome handle will match my bumpers and grill.

I didnt plan on painting the mirrors, just dont like the way they look. i worded my original post wrong

 

you can by ready to paint FX2 handles.... they are also avaliable painted all red like in my sig.... altho the handles in my sig are actually LT handles I had PTM

The 07 LTs are a different red than the red on the 06 and older F150s.

 

Dark Toreador Red has always been available on the LT handles, that was that burgandy color on 04-06's. In 07 that color was replaced with Redfire, which is also available on the LT handles. Bright Red, like on STYXNPICKS truck is not available.

 

Question is, where can i get them (LT door handles), or would it be easier to take my handles apart and paint them?

 

FX2 handles only come PTM so you would need to get them painted.I just got my LT handles last week and I found painted LT handles cheaper online than the nonpainted FX2 handles. Also the driver side LT handle comes with a new keypad,the PTM handle is made for a keypad but doesn't come with one.

I think for that kind of money, I will just paint my existing handles

 

I can't say I blame you, I almost did the same but I didn't want my truck down for a couple days or more while the handles were being painted.
I saw (3)LT handles going for up to $240 plus shipping at other places so I think I got a good deal.
