Question Is this a good brush Guard??

I have been researching brush guards when I came across this one on EBAY. Seems to be priced well, almost too well. Anyone bought one of these? Please give a newbie some input. I want one that is functional! Thanks!

Define your version of "functional"

Well truth be told, I live in one of the worst Deer population counties in Illinois and would like one that will repel those bad boys off the front of the truck. My wife has hit two in the last year and I have hit two also (although i hit mine in county squad cars so my insurance wasn't involved for those).

The brush guard appears to be a Westin. (or at least knock off).

Thumbs up

If it is a westin, which it appears to be they are pretty good grille guards. I lived in deer country North Dakota where body shops put ads in the paper thanking the deer population for another great year. I hit 7 deer with my old F150 with a westin classic and the only damage that ever occured was where the deer swung back and its teeth took some paint off my fender. No grille damage though.

This is another japanese made piece like most of the ones on the market, it is a Westin knock-off but is just as good as the Westin. With Westin you pay for alot of advertising and name when it will rust just as soon as the knock-offs.

It will work for appearance, but for nothing else.
