Looks good, I just got a new oval for my tailgate after I shaved the handle. One of my little bros friends wasn't paying attention, damn chevy guys , ran over it with a long block.

It's almost done, will get paint in two weeks on all the areas that need touch up, and the whole truck will be recleared, some dousch hit me with eggs.

BTW sorry to steal your thread, just needed to ramble....

thanks i remember reading that a long time ago. Did you reuse the clear part, or did you mix your own resin like the instructions said?

its pretty much impossible to reuse the stuff that was on there since the blue is stuck too it. i bought some resin stuff at hobby lobby for like $11. it was really easy. i poured a little too much though and had to use a razor to cut the edge off. it was a pretty simple process. just make sure you have the emblem with the rubber center first!! i started doing my front one and right after i got it off i realized that it was plastic and not rubber. so now i have to go get another for the front so i can do it to match the back.

Don't mean to discourage you but the Envirotex resin isn't made for outside use and it will soon yellow. I did mine and thats what happened. Mine didn't show right away but I painted the emblem a dark green. Yours will probably show sooner since its white. Good luck

I had exactly the opposite experience with my 2001's emblems... the Envirotex held up EXCEEDINGLY well. I traded late in 04' and the emblems had 2, maybe 3, years on them... they still looked as good as day one.
