Roush grille owners: Emblem question.

I ordered the Roush (chrome over plastic) grille direct from the Roush web-site today.

Question begs, can I use the Ford emblem off my '05 honeycomb style grille or do I need another special Ford emblem for the Roush grille? The pictures that have been posted of the Roush grille: the Ford emblem looks as though it sits much flatter (on the Roush grille) in comparison to some the OE factory grilles.

Thanks for any help.

You can use the plastic emblem mount, or leave it off.

It's up to you.

The Roush grille uses the standard emblem.

I used the one off my King Ranch, and then swapped it with one from a honeycomb grille.

I'm back to the Harley grille now, but I had the Roush with and without an emblem.

The Roush grille does not come with the emblem. Use the one from your honeycomb grille. The Roush grille may be used with or without the emblem. The Roush grille will come with the necessary mounting bracket. When you take off the emblem from your honeycomb grille, there is a tab on the back you must cut or break off. Then use the provided bracket and put it on the Roush grille. The instructions clearly show how to do all this.

Thanks Dot Dot..... I was hoping you'd post. I saw your Roush grille and that's what sold me on it.

No offense Harley grille owners, but I really like the looks of the Roush over the Harley, of course the price difference helps the looks too. $150.00 VS. $450.00...C'mon!

Curious, why did you switch back to the Harley Grille Kool Aid? Seems the radiator would be much easier to see with the Harley. That's the reason I don't like the honeycomb grille. Personal preference, I wanna see grille, not radiator.

Yep, that's the reason I went away from the Harley grille in the first place.....seeing the radiator.

I tried several grilles, including the Roush, but after all the time and money spent, I still like the looks of the Harley, best......even with the radiator showing.

Besides, that Roush grille is all over town. Every XLT with the chrome package has that grille, and I wanted something you don't see every day.

That's cool, er uh, Kool aid. Looks wise, and fortunately for me, there aren't many Ford truck owners here. It's predominately Chevy. And the owners that do have the new body style Fords, don't have the uniqueness of the Flairside model.

I really like the Harley grille. I drive by one of the F-150 Harley edition trucks everyday sitting on the dealer lot. It doesn't do the truck justice having it sitting on one of those nose up ramps, which makes the radiator even more noticeable. Driving by I'm thinking, man, if they would have just added a couple more bars they would have had it goin' on. I was going to get the Harley grille regardless and try and put a black piece of screen behind it somehow. However, when I saw Dot Dot's Roush grille--story over, especially with my truck being black.

I've started to improve the look. I have quite a few exterior accessories piling up. I'm waiting till spring though. I hate the cold weather.

Cool

Be sure to post some pics after you get it on there. It really will look tremendous on black. And congratulations on the sale price....
