Am I getting screwed over? DGM skirt package install $$?

Talked to the bodyshop dept at my local dealership about the DG Motorsports side skirt package arriving from Stylin Concepts.

The Bodyshop manager is trying to tell me the labor for each piece of the package (6pcs) is 2 hours labor, totalling approx $1700 plus materials (paint)!!!!!!

Sounds a little fishy, considering to have my hood scoop painted & installed, grille installed, door handles installed, and front clip painted & installed cost me a whopping grand total of $450!

So, other than for them to paint.......is a skirt package easy to install as a DIY?!?!

Am I getting boned in this deal?

I call rip-off.

It shouldn't be hard to do it yourself! Probably just some screws or bolts. Just get a friend and make sure you line it all up perfectly before you make it permanent. You will need someone to paint it, i recommend a different shop!

I would prep them yourself as best you can, let them finish and paint them, and then install them yourself.

You may want to try a test fit before they are painted too.

I agree. Test fit those pieces before you get them painted.

That is awful high IMO for prep work. Most pieces come fairly smooth and do not require a great deal of prep.

Agreed, he's trying to screw you over. Test fit them yourself, drill your holes, and take them in like that, dont prep them yourself unless your confident you know how to do it(spike tv every sat. doesn't count), too many stories so little time. Find another body shop talk to the guy, be cool, trust him, like him, and they'll treat you right. It's too bad you don't have Earl Sheib's out in AB he'd do it for $50, including paint and install
