Question Cervini's hood help!

To all of you who have a cervini's fiberglass hood. What are your opinions on it? How is the fit and finish? Had any problems? and how do they hold up over time? I am looking to buy one but im a little apprehensive of the fiberglass Any information would be greatly appriciated.

i dont have a cervini hood on mine.. but fiberglass is a safe way to go.. the fit depends on how much time the manufacuter wants to take to make it fit correctly. the finish can be as smooth as glass. Mine is from suncoast creations... they have a nice hood that would fit your ride.

HI!... I have a CERVINI's 3" cowl induction fiberglass hood. The fit and finish is basically perfect. The hood does weigh twice as much as the factory aluminum hood, so you will have to change the gas hood struts to ones from a 2000 CROWN VIC. They are direct bolt ins. Just stronger.

how heavy is yours neal? would the gas struts hold it up at all? mine will hold the hood if you got it anywhere from half open to fully open... but it wont raise the hood.. just hold it..

HI!... I believe it weighs in around 45LBS compared to the stock hood's 23LBS. With the stock gas hood struts I had to lift the hood all the way up and carefully release it. Then it would hold it up. If your working on the truck and happen to shake it a bit, you were basically wearing a 45LB hood on your head. Got sick of hitting my head all the time, so I upgraded to the stronger gas struts.
