I have a 2006 F150 XLT Supercab 4.6 for which I just bought a HID Kit. The question I have is: the factory harness has three wires (black,solid,striped), my kit has two. How do I know which wire to use? I know the black is the ground but which of the other two do I use? Any help would be appreciated!

 

Is this a plug and play kit? If it is do yourself a favor and make a wiring harness with a relay to power your hids directly from your battery. If you connect it right to your stock harness you will eventually ruin your wires. My buddy did this to his dodge and melted the stock harness (not fun to replace). But to answer your question get a test light and see which of the wires on your truck is the low beam, ground, and high beam. The two wires on the ballast will go to ground and the other to the low beam. Hope this helps.
