How do I chrome the letters on my truck!?!??!

Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew an easy way to chrome the letter badges on the sides of my f-150. I have heard that you can use a liberal ammount of brake cleaner? Is this true....HELP!!!!

Aren't they already chrome? Do you mean remove the black lettering from the chrome so the entire badge is chrome?

Don't know for sure but that does sound right. Try searching on here for it. I'm sure I've read about this before.

would you by chance happen to know if nail polish remover would work. The first ingredient is acetone....?

I don't know. I haven't done it but I don't see why it wouldn't. Just might take a little more rubbing.

Just go to any hardware store and buy a little can of acetone. It'll cost you $5. Next, buy a roll of GOOD automotive masking tape. Tape off ALL paint that you don't want to be removed around the emblem (as in the BODY paint). Next, tape a trashbag below the emblem to keep the runoff from hitting the paint. Then, apply the acetone to a rag and start rubbing.
