silverstar lights

im looking at buying some headlights for my truck. the ones i want to get include 9007 ST Silverstar High Performance bulbs. are these good? what does OEM mean? another place im looking at says two oem style lightning headlights, so are these real lightning headlights? they say it comes with #9007 xenon bulbs. are those bulbs good?

OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer. The SilverStars are a good bulb. Quite a few members have them. They are brighter than stock halogen. Xenon is a gas that a lot of bulb manufactures use inside the glass part of the bulb. Krypton is used as well. If the wording is "oem style" lightning headlights, they might not be original (from Ford) (might be aftermarket manufacturer) and just marketed as OEM Style.

Hope this helps
Mike

I've got the headlights and fog lights and I think they're great! No problems with yellowing so far...

OEM like quality, meaning just a replica of the real things, I have auctual real SVT & Viston stamped headlamps, they are great! They aren't scratched or scuffed, they haven't had any problems with the cold weather, and they just look amazing. I have the silverstars in my fogs & heads also. Pleased customer. After you get your headlamps go to the dealer & have them alligned, do this before you put them in, much safer for night driving.

Heres my thread on my SVT headlamps..
