Projectors and Silverstars

I've been thinking about getting these projector headlights

http://streetpros.com/product_info/c...ucts_id/19956/

I currently have silverstars in my stock headlights.

I was wondering if you could use the stock headlights bulbs or use silverstars in the new projector headlights? If not what kind of bulbs do they take?

Most of this type of aftermarket projector uses H3-55W bulbs. They are not as bright as factory OEM projectors and adding a HID upgrade will not provide good results. Also, depending on which unit you buy, you might be able to use your Silverstars for the brights ONLY, but alot of the time you will need a different bulb even for the brights. Hope this helps!

my friend has a similar set of the lights you are looking at but in the 2 peice model. His also use H3 bulbs on the Highs and in the projector. The only problem with the aftermarket projectors that the lenses turn yellow VERY quick. Within 2 years they were **** yellow and looked bad and he got rid of them.

Just food for thought....

i got my projectors on ebay for 140 and to my surprise they were very bright with just factory bulbs which were actually 9006(this is a 2006 which comes with 9008)anyway i didnt think they would be bright either because of a past experience with a chevy truck but they even had the straight line at the bottom of the street at night jus like the bmw's-they look good check it out:http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2502155
