need a toolbox
so i bought i toolbox yesterday, a black husky fush mount, and i'm not that impressed. flush mount to me means that the top of the box is going to be flush with the bed rails. well it's not. it needs to be 2-2 1/2 inches taller and it didn't come with any mounting hardware.
what are some of the boxes your running and are you happy with them?
also where'd ya get em

Tractor supply center is the best place to get tool boxes, but even places like autozone, ebay, and lowes carry them. i got a stainless steel Dee-zee on sale at TSC. the mounting is simple. Just go and buy 2, i call them J-hook bolts, cause that is what they look like. If a hole is not already drilled then drill one inside your toolbox just to the inside of the bed rails. The hook the bolts under the bed rails and bolt them down, also make sure to put some 3M padded tape between the rails and the box. that is what came with mine for mounting.
I've got a black low profile UWS tool box that I picked up for around $350 at Pickup Specialties in Houston. I like the low profile look and it's raised up off the bed floor just enough that I still have use of the full bed length. No problems with the box so far.
i got the box at home depot and it's a good looking box. i know how i'm gonna mount it but i'm not sure if i like the idea that it sits below the bed rails.
for anyone that has a flush mount chest box, does the box sit flush with the bed or is it lower? from what the dimensions say about the uws box it's 2 inches taller than the box i've got now. just not sure if i want to spend the extra $100+ for 2" (plus it was an early xmas present from the folks)
