headlight strobs
if you want strobes, go with Whelen 90 watt. Bright as hell. Whelen is all we use on all our fire engines and Ladder trucks. It does involve drilling a 1 1/4 inch hole. plus run your wires, hook up your power supply and your done. Cake! Your gonna be looking at around 300.00 or so for a 4 strobe 90 watt system. But if ya dont mind the HUGE hole, their great. Plus you can change your flash patterns. Go with a 6 strobe unit and you can do one in each head light and one in each fog, plus some in your tails. Cops Be pullin over for you. well maybe not.
We have a Dodge 1500 police unit. It runs whelen 60 watt system with strobes in the corners and rear back up light area. Of course its hooked into a code 3 system, but when they are active they look b!tchen for sure.
60 watt system is bright enough, I have them on POV truck (f150) and they are nice! (along with hide-away's in my grill). For a headlight system we use the wig wags. Im not sure what system it is, Im sure its something that was slaped together because its not a common thing. I think you could use a crown vic system, just gotta splice in wiring cause im sure there is no hook up for the wig wags on the F150.
but dont use them while driving other wise it could be a nice ticket.
hope ut helps, if you need further message me.

ye i really like the idea of Hide-A-Strobes, even tho they are highly illegal(fellony), i think they are worth it for that 30 seconds you flip them on while goin down the main drag, Etc. I just dont know how they would come out in my headlights considering there is limited reflecctive material in them and that the headligh itself is mostly black
My truck set up ran me about 200 bucks. its a 60w system that is very easy to install. (a member gave a rough idea on how to) 4 strobs with the kit. In my truck theres clear strobes. you can get colored but....i dont think its the best idea to since the housing is colored.
swps.com is one store to get them from. they are reasonable. the provide us with our lighting gear. Galls is also pretty good on prices. Ebay is cheaper but. im not much for that bidding idea.
Wiring, easy. install the unit under a seat, (mines under the front bench seat. use longer screws then provided to drill into the cab housing below. make a small cut into the fabric to run wires (for a clean install). theres 6 wire leads needing to be run. they use 10g wires if i not mistaken. run a power wire to the bat. fuse it with a 15 amp fuse, run the other side to a second wire (splicing) on the other side a second 15 amp fuse that goes to the hi/lo switch. then carry the power wire the the on off switch. then wire all the strobe leads which can be a pain in the *** if you have 8 foot bed and super cab (you only have 15 feet of stander wire). you can add wire but make sure you have firm connections.
install time an hour.
its easier if you have a code 3 system. switch would be min of 2 max of 4 for a 6 strobe unit.

strobes will be fine in your tail lights and then in ur fog lights. your head light housing looks too small. send me a pic of just ur head light and ill let you know.
Remember your cutting a 1 inch hole into the housing and the strobe sits inside. it has to be under the light, or....right or left to it. it can not be above the head light. you also need to be an inch or more from the plastic housing.
we had a explore burn the housing because it was not far enough away.
Ill post pics of my set up in a few days. im changing out my hide-away in my grill and will be adding a set to my tailgate too....
