Junkyard/Salvage Lot Question.......

Has anyone here gotten any of their mods from a junkyard? I would like to get some new door handles and buckets and even some Harley headlights. Would these folks be asking as much as buying them new maybe? It seems like if a Harley got rearended and totaled I might could buy some good parts from it? Am I way off in left field here?

Thanks Ya'll

Odds you find a new truck in a salvage lot is very rare i would think. I know that in my local lot the newest cars i have seen are 96 or there abouts.

Yes you can. I have spent probably a years worth of my 27 years rooting around in junkyards. I love it. Its an addiction. You can find all kinds of goodies, the best are rollovers. Rollovers almost never get repaired. Just the other day I scored a cold air intake for a mustang with a K&N for $10. Modified it to fit an explorer and sold it installed for $75. I put 97 explorer limited seats in a 92 explorer base. THe possibilities are endless, but you have to keep in touch with the yards cause the best partss go fassssst.
