I have a 2000 f150 4x4 and a guy at work has a grill guard that use to be on his 99 f150 which is 2wd, some people have told me that it will not fit because there is a difference between how the 2wd and 4x4 trucks are set up, does any one have any input on if this will fit? im pretty sure it is a Dee Zee Elite Chrome Classic Grille Guard. Also he wants $100 for it but he does not have the mounting hardware, will this fit my truck and is it worth it to buy it when it does not come with the mounting stuff?

So no one knows if this grill guard will fit? That is pretty much my main concern, if it won't fit would it just be because of the brackets it comes with?

 

Cant say i know anything about them, i drive a lowered 2wd truck....
In fact the only truck ive ever ridden in that had one, was a friends titan that came factory with it.

I dont see any reason why not. The difference in 2x4 and 4x4 is the suspension. Same body sytle so go for it. I took my grill gaurd of my wifes 05 tahoe and put it on my 01 Z71. It will work



Plus I think low riders are ugly as hell.
