Install Bug Shield

Yo!

I have a 2006 f150 and would like to install a bug shield. Do I have to remove the grille from the hood to install one? It looks simple enough (nuts/screws) but wanted an opinion before I started taking things apart. it's a brand new truck for cryin' out loud!

Thanks for the help!

You can remove the grille, but you really don't need to. Just make sure that the 10 bolts are loose enough that you can slide the deflector between the hood and grille. The original instructions I had said to remove it, but after that first time, I realized I really didn't have to.
