Vertical billet grille is on - finally.

Despite crappy instructions, I managed to get 'er done with the help of my brother-in-law. It was nice to have an extra set of eyes & hands on the project to make sure everything was aligned correctly and held steady.

It turned out pretty nice. Anything is better than that OEM beige grille. I can see it looking good on a two-tone painted truck, but not a monotone, non-beige painted truck.

Also thanks to forum member "Kool Aid" for the insight on this project.

Here are before and after shots.

Looks good. What brand did you go with and how long did it take?

Not sure of the actual brand, but I got it from eBay seller "autopartsgallery."

I took a few hours, mostly due to useless instructions that had no diagrams and no clear markings on the brackets to indicate which side they went on or which way to mount them. I'm also missing one small bracket.

I'd suggest maybe going with another brand unless you have a good amount of time and a partner.

I'm going to let these people know their directions suck and they need illustrations.

Not sure yet for the '06. I bought a bumper grille with this main grille, but the one they sent was for the 04-05's. It won't fit. I'm in the process of trying to swap the wrong one for the right one, but this idiot I have to deal with (broken English, some Asian name) cannot answer my questions coherently.

I may just have to buy another one from T-Rex or another (AMERICAN) company.

If you need a bumper grille for an 04-05, I'll sell you mine for a good price.
