Ford Stone/Bug Deflector

Hey guys,

I just purchased a Ford OEM Stone/Bug Deflector and I'm just not entirely happy with the way it mounts. It has the clips that clip directly to the hood of the truck. I just feel that over time it is going to chip the paint and or flex the hood. I don't feel comfortable putting my truck through an auto car wash etc...

Are all of the stone/bug deflectors like this one? I have a 2005 F150.

Should I return it and take the 15% restocking fee hit?

Thanks
Tom

As long as you use the plastic patches, it will not chip. I have had mine on for 2 years with no problem.
And don't let RockPick hear you talk about automatic car washes.

See what they're going for on ebay.... if it's more worth your while to list it there and sell it - rather than taking the 15% hit -- go that route.
