Chrome Door Handles

Does anyone own Chrome Door handles on an '05 F150? I called Ford today and they dont sell them and I found some online which are handle covers held on the factory handle by doublesided 3M abhesive...Do they look good or can you tell its not the real door handle? Has anyone had issues with these overlays? Does anyone know a better solution than the chrome over lays?

I believe Putco sells Liquid Billet door handles. They are the entire handles and look really good, but that comes with a price. I have seen the covers and i think they look very good, it is very hard to tell they are covers

As far as chrome handles go, I would advise against plastic ones, as they tend to fade and chip as time goes on.

Do the covers come in either plastic and stainless steal? Do they tend to fall off in car washes or anything of that nature?

I put the Putco liquid billet chromed handles on my truck. They look great and feel a lot better then the cheap plastic handles Ford uses. I got them for 420. at www.autoanything.com including the tailgate and shipping on a price match from I don't remember who. Do some shopping. This is the way to go if you can fork out the dough. I've heard the stick ons don't cover completely, they leave about a 1/16 or 1/4 oncovered around they outer perimeter. If your truck is black you wouldn't notice it. Mine is white so I went with a full replacement.
