Painting a billet fuel door

Well, I bought a $40 billet fuel door at autozone today, and after putting it on my white 03 Supercrew FX4 decided that it just doesn't help the looks any, at least for me it doesn't. I took off my FX4 stickers, and I like the clean look, and the fuel door just messed it up in my mind. So, I went by a couple of body shops, and to get it all painted except for the hex bolts would be $75. I thought it was a little steep, but maybe that's just me. I've heard some say to paint it yourself, but if I think it looks cheap now, i'm scared to think what it would look like after I got done trying to paint it. Might run by the powder coating shop tomorrow. Can they match the white on my truck or would it be a different white? Thanks for any suggestions.
