Roush Windshield Banner

Does the banner install on the outside of the windshield?

It seems like it won't last very long if it goes on the outside; however, that seems to be the only way to install it.

Does anyone have one of these?

Let me know if the banner blocks your vision.

I had the Roush banner on my old truck it goes on the outside of the windshield and it was a pretty easy install. It does not block your vision at all and adds a very clean look to the truck. Once again like anything you order from Roush it does not come with instruction. I installed mine the same time I installed the Roush rocker panel stripe kit.

A few tips for install. (Hint: Two people is a must for this install)

1st: While the banner is still on the paper backing put it up to the windshield and center it. The banner curves with the windshield so just get the same amount of distance between the a pillar and the end of the decal on both sides and mark with a grease pen, chalk, fingernail polish, whatever for future reference.

2nd: Do this install either in a garage or somewhere where it is the coolest temp and out of the sunlight. Using a spraybottle with a mixture of water and a very small amount of dish soap, soak the area where the banner is going to be installed so that you can move the decal around to center it before it sticks.

3rd: Remove the banner from the paper backing it is mounted to and place it so that the ends sit evenly with the markings previously put on the windshield. It will probably take some moving around on the windshield to get it perfect but that's why the windshield is wet.

4th: Once it's centered it should be close to being sticky enough to stay on the windshield again and if not just hold it on for a minute or so and it will be. Then use a hard plastic squeegee or even a credit card to squegee the water out of the decal. Pay close attention to the lettering to remove ALL water bubbles. Once the bubbles and excess water has been squeegeed away from the lettering let it sit for about another 10-15 mintues or so. You can use a hairdryer to speed the process along, just make sure the lettering is completely dry before removing the clear plastic sheet covering them.

5th: SLOWLY peel the clear plastic covering off of the banner and that's it. I would let it dry for another day or so before cleaning the windshield area around the banner or taking it through a high pressure car wash.

This is a very easy install and it only took me about 15 minutes not including drying time. Another suggestion is to buy a window tint install kit from your local auto parts store, they include the plastic squeegee, spray bottle, and razor blades, it runs about 7-10 bucks and makes this install waay easier.

Good luck. Here's a couple pics.
