scoop looks great. i just installed mine, and i have a question. did the front of your scoop, only at the mounting screws tighten down all the way flush? mine seems to have just a little space right at the front 2 screws, between the hood and the scoop where it is not as flush as every where else.

thanks, mike

I noticed someone else asked but he got no answer...

Does this scoop fit on the 2000 f-150?

I think it would be cool to have one of those styles because everyone around here has the lund hood scoops...boring...

There are actually a few members here that cut the tabs off and just mounted their scoop with some high end 3M super tape. They claim that it will not come off. I'd surely do that before I drilled into my hood.

No. It is a visual enhancement.

I was thinking about getting one of the Roush scoops, but I always wondered how it looks up close... like is it easy to tell its just a stick-on?

i just ordered mine and it looks great...i mean if you get close to it you can tell its stick on only cuz of the small line on it where it meets the hood...but its not like those cheesy lund stick on ones with the huge mounting flange...i was gonna get a hood and have it painted...but for like a 1k total...i figured i would get a scoop and im glad i did cuz it looks really nice

Mine is a factory mustang scoop, but pretty much the same, so yes they will fit an 00. My truck is a 99.

And mine is functional and has been for some 100K miles. Just can't be functional in the winter, picks up to much white stuff and freezes the filter.

Not to disrespect anyone, I just don't see the point of having a non-functional, 3M/screw mounted visual enhancment. I'm gonna pay that kind of money, I want it functional. IMHO, it's like buying a SC just to look purty.

I'd expect Roush to be a little more performance orientated... I laugh when I see they sell stick'em hood scoops.

Just my .02

I did at one time have a whole series in my gallery, but have since deleted them since the old body style is so, well, old.

And the puter they were on has since crashed its hard drive and taken them with them. If I can get a chance in the next few days I can take some more.

My set up was a made by me using a early 90's lumina air box, a late 80's thunder bird intake hose mounted on top of the engine and running to a reworked air box for the truck sealed when the hood closed by 3/4 inch foam seal.

Hardest part was cutting the hole in that shiny hood.
