Crew cab nerfs on a Standard Cab?

howdy,
i was wondering if and one might know if crew cab nerf bar would fit on a standard cab long bed. i have a 99 f-150 standard cab long bed, but my toolbox is a deep to the floor of the bed one. thus my 5'11" frame can not reach into alot of the toolbox. also i run a 3" lift front and rear to add to my height problems. so anyways i have been wanting to put nerf bars on, but at the same time i would like to not only get in my truck, i would like to get into the toolbox with out the tailgate hop into the bed.

so the ? is do you think the crew cab nerfs will fit my standard cab? if not i will make them, cause dang it i am wanting it that way.

thanks much,
jimmie

Most nerf bars are designed to use factory holes in the frame to mount. That is where you will probably run into problems, since your frame doesn't match the Crew Cab frame. You should be able to drill some holes in the frame and mount them.

I've seen some designed for all the different cab sizes that include extra length back to the wheel well for just your need. I think the call them wheel-to-wheel or something like that.
