Extending mirrors
Schefenacker TTT mirrors are made to fit the F150 and they look like they belong on the truck - yes they are telescoping. Schefenacker actually makes the superduty mirrors you're talking about. Not going to say its impossible, but I don't think it would be worth it to try to put those on.
To buy the TTT mirrors new is a little pricey but I have seen them on ebay occasionally for a reasonable price. You can get them with power, heat and turn signals. These are for the 04+ F150's.
If you have an older truck I think **** makes an aftermarket telescoping mirror that looks similar that on the Superduties that fit the F150.

Pricey isn't an understatement
... $550 for a set... going to have to think about that one. Maybe even find another brand or get one off a 250 and hold them up side by side.
