Whats its purpose?

Are you going to be offroading alot or is it for looks moslty? I had a brush guard on my 93 Isuzu Trooper and I just used it for deflecting underbrush while offroading and for mounting driving lamps and fog lamps onto. I saw a guy try to use his as a towing point, entire grill guard bent at a 90 degree as to the grille. As for price, check out jcwhitney or others, though I havent had experience with thier truck accessories, thier VW stuff is great. http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/V...006566/c-10614

Others should chime in soon with thier advice

I just plan to use it for the same reasons you listed. I do some offroading, and 2-tracking and ya never know when a little tree may pop out. I don't plan on using it for a tow point. It says its a 3- piece, and I know that some are a 1 piece. Im not sure if one is better than the other.

The two piece models are made for easier cleaning of the front end.
