Yeah i did that on my 97 f-150. I put 2 15" green neons w/ built in strobes in there just for fun. Its a really easy install. On the passenger side there is an area underneath the glove compartment thats perfect to mount it to. On the drivers side its a little more tricky. I found that it was easiest to zip-tie one end to the large wire harness ont he door side and i believe there is a metal support under there that you can attach the other end to. Just make sure that when u mount it, its out of the way of the pedals and you feet so that yo dont kick it and break it. I had pics on my computer but i cant find them right now so ill take some more tommorow so u can see wat im tlakin about. The neons look pretty cool at night and definetly give it a new look.

hope that helps!

i put 2 15" neons under my seat facing forward and it looks bad ***. i thought about putting them under the dash but i think this was they light up more and were easier to install. i zip tied mine to the seat. it had screw holes just wasnt room for a drill. i think for 3 dollars a neon which pulse my money was well spent

Hello. I had them in my mountaineer and have not yet added them in my truck. I used wire ties and ground it in the truck. I also ran the power in the fuse box. Put a switch in there to be able to turn off whenever you want. I know they are illegal to have it cars but look great, espically if u have tinted windows.

First I went and bought some 15" neon tubes, 16ga or bigger wire, connectors, zip ties, and a toggle switch. The lights came with cigerette plugs on the ends but I cut those off. Decide where you want to mount them and run your wires to ur fuse box area(this is where you will get the power). You will need to find which wires are pos and which are neg. I tested mine both ways and they only came on one way. On the back of the toggle switch is 3 terminals, one for accessory, one for power, and one for ground. You will need to ground all of the lights as well as the switch. I chose to ground them in the same spot with a self tapping screws and some spade connectors. Now place one connector on however many wires to form one(i.e. if you have 3 lights put all 3 wires into one connector). Even though they will be hooked up to the fuse box I installed an inline fuse at this step. Plug these into the accessory terminal of the switch. Last wire the power terminal to the fuse box. Either wrap the wire on the end of the fuse or solder it to the back of the fuse box. I wrapped it around teh end of the fuse and havent had any problems at all. I also chose to put a bigger fuse in where I installed the power wire. Pick a fuse that will suit what you want. Some fuses stay on all the time and others turn off with the car. Hope this helps. Good luck

Bigplayer, I totally agree with you. I rapped mine around the fuse and have had no problems. That was three years ago. My parents bought my car and my mom drives it. Its funny she turns the lights on sometimes. I put my wire on a fuse with power all the time. So if I am sitting around, I can leave them on...

Advance sells these new mini-neons that work great for under the seat. THey can be plugged into a cigarette lighter or hard wired. There are very small in comparision to full size neon tubes and really easy to hide through installation.

IMO the 15" neons fit perfect under the seat. If you actually measure them its only 10" of light.

Yeah, nice to leave on when in somewhere. Everyone looks at it and is like wow. The windows are tinted out and you just see the blue coming through the tint on the seats.

don't wrap around a fuse do it properly and splice a wire then shrink wrap it. If you wrap it around the fuse and it touches both sides the fuse becomes useless and you can create a fire. I know form experience. Also use a inline fuse to prevent any problems.
