pull the screws off of the top and bottom of the grill, don't forget to get the two screws behind the markers, after that just pull the tabs on the headlights and slide them out.

I've been down this road as least 3 times. What truck do you have? All Fords require removal of the grille for headlights/corners. I can prolly guide you the whole way. I own a 2000 Ford F-150 XLT. I use Elegante headlights and corners by TYC. Drop me a line.

???? I have been doing it wrong for years then? I have never had to do anything to remove headlights on my 98? Pull the tabs up under the hood, reach behind the headlight, and push out on the plug? The corners you have to remove the one screw on top under the hood, and then hook your fingers around the back edge, and pull it out? Why does the grill have to be removed? I'm curious?,,,,98

Lol. U have a good point. The headlights can be removed without taking off the grille. But the new aftermarket headlights cannot be alligned properly unless you DO remove the grille. Imagine putting in new healights and try some night driving only to reliaze that ur beams are to high, to low, or just all f*cked up. Most my truck "knowlege" comes from trial and error; that and i work at a used car dealership. It took me 20 minutes to remove my grille and install new headlights/corners, removing the grille assembly also makes the job easier and less risky towards breaking the housing allignment plastic-ware.

Talking

Take out old headlights, set them beside new headlights. Turn the adjusters on new headlights until they match up as close as possible to the old ones. Install new headlights ,,,,98

Mine were close enough to pass, anyway.

Nice, I have had mine for a little over 3 months. I got them as soon as I bought my truck. I will post pics of my truck probably after Christmas after I finish doing work on it.
