Just got my 3rd Brake light installed....LED

I have been meaning to upgrade and was going to buy those lights they have on the lightnings, but I had to save up my money.

I accidently stumbled across these "RECON" brand lights and I thought they looked a hell of a lot better, so I sprung for them.

Beleive it or not, this is the "Smoked Lens"???? More like Barely smoked....

So

Off with the old........

And

On with the new........

I will get another picture after the sun goes down. It looks to me like the Brake light is brighter, But I cant really tell about the cargo lights?

They are new, so if you wonder around and shop, look under "New Parts" because they arent in the tail light section.

Or you can order them straight from the factory.

OK,

Daytime Cargo light

Nighttime Cargo light

Daytime Brake lights

Nighttime Brake lights

Cargo and Brakes daytime

The Cargo light is fairly bright, but it seems to shine back more then they shine down into the bed. The Brake light its ALOT BRIGHTER then stock.

IF you order this, you have to cut the wires that go to the bulbs. The directions say you dont have to, But there isnt enough room for the bulb sockets between the RECON light and cab.

They have a wiring diagram, but it doesnt tell you what wires go where.

I found out that...

1. The positive Cargo lead is a Black wire with a White stripe.

2. The Positive Brake lead is a Green wire.

3. They both share the same negative lead, The solid black wire.

I hope that helps.
