Do you think this will be dark enough???

There is a local guy that does GREAT tinti work and its VERY reasonalbe price. All my friend got theirs done with like 35 - 15% on the fronts and 5% on the back when they had no stock tint, and one frined got 15% over the stock tint on the back. But with all of them when you are looking in from the back u can see light, and the people in it. not details, but outlines.

My question is if I put the 5% over the stock 20 will it looks black even durning the day with the sun out?

I know ur gonna say i cant see at night. But for the last week i put a towel up on the window so i cant see at all. and its not that hard if u go slow and use ur mirros when backing at night.

Also i have a 30% over the stock right now, and thats why im considering the the 5% instead, would u recomend the 5% over both the stock and the 30??

Thanks for reading this long question(s) and any help is appraicited!

5% over stock should work. 5% is considered limo tint. I put 5 over stock on the last truck and a heck of a time seeing out the back day or night. Remember the cops will not harrass you if they can somewhat see in the cab...

20% all around would look nice , or you could go 20% on all windows exept the drivers door and put 35 % on it so if you get pulled over the cop can still see you in there and itll still look good

In the daylight you can see in somewhat. At night it is pretty dark. I did the door windows in 20% and left the rear at the factory tint...

thanks for the help. Im gonna go see the guy tomorrow and have him put 5% over my very back window, and the two side windows on my supercab. Hes charging me $60 for the entire job (including taking off the old tint I had) so i figure u cant beat the deal!

This weekend I am going to get my truck tinted. I am getting 20% in the back over the factory tint to make it 5 % and getting 5% in the front. Should look dark and good. I have been told that 0% is limo, not 5. Because u can see some of the bodies in there at 5%.

i went 20% on my driver and passenger fronts to match the factory ones (20% also) the only problem with matching the ford tint to the aftermarket one is getting the front windows the right color to match. it's very slight but the ford tint has more of an orange tinge to it, while most aftermarket ones are bluish purple. also, take into consideration the large amount of light coming in through the windshield, it will make your windows up front look lighter than the ones in the back due to the amount of light inside the truck. or you can just get your windshield tinted a little bit - probably around 50% is the max most places would reccommend. sounds like a good price, but make sure you double check the windows before you leave to see if they missed any small air bubbles b/c they will be there FOREVER.

Here is a tip from a friend that works in a detailing shop at a dealership told me..when you finish waxing your truck, use the cloth that you took the wax off with and wipe down the side and back windows. It will make them reflect just like a mirror.
