97 front grille

does anyone make a billet grille insert for the 97 model f150 and what is the difference between the 97 and 99 grilles besides the fact that one is diamond and the other honeycombed

it's not an model so it sure is available. this is one site you can try and see some of the available grilles for a 97 f150..http://www.carpartsmax.com/cgi-bin/parts/process. check out their prices too, ain't bad is it? i'd go for their grilles.

..and by the way check this for some 1999 f150 grilles http://www.autopartsdeal.com/catalog...50_pickup.html. theyr'e a little bit pricey than 97 but as you can see discouts are given so it's still a good value. that's one difference, another would be their material,i.e. chrome, black, all chrome, and also some grilles can fit only specific models like those on the description.

The difference is in the height. 97-98 grill surrounds are straight on the bottom. 99 up dip down a couple of inches just in the grill area. With the diamond insert it is a bolt on. For anybody w/ the bars, they have to be cut out and attached w/ custom made brackets.

I used the trenz polished stainless grill on my 97 truck. It was a slotted grill so I had to cut it out. I have pics in my gallery.

I had the chrome finish on the grilles. It held up pretty good for the two years I had em on before I traded in the truck. I still see the truck running around on a regular basis and they still do look pretty good.

Yeah I think those chrome speed inserts looked great on your 97 Truck. I wonder if they would look as good on my red truck. Let me know what you think.

I bet they would look real good. I like the look of street scene grilles on most any color. I know on www.sporttruckdirect.com there is a red L with the speed grilles on it. I know ur isnt a lightning but it might get a good idea of what it would look like.
